This site is drawn as a survey sheet, because mapmakers solved its hardest problem centuries ago. A chart has a convention for ground nobody has walked: it is marked unsurveyed, which says that no one looked without implying there is nothing there. Most of this site is that distinction.

Sheet titles: Encode Sans Condensed, a condensed grotesque in the manner of map lettering, where names must fit a coastline without crowding it. Used for sheet titles and column heads.
Prose: Encode Sans Semi Condensed, the same family opened up for running text, so the page has one voice at two widths.
Figures: Azeret Mono, a technical monospace with tabular figures, so a column of counts aligns digit under digit and a number cannot be misread against its neighbour. Used for every table and count.
Harvester: Rust, with SQLite for bookkeeping and a single writer actor. Files are mirrored to local storage; the database never leaves the machine.
Site: React and Vite, built to static files. No server and no cookies.
Measurement: Two counters, and they are the only scripts on the site that are not the site itself. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and sets no cookie. Google Analytics runs with storage consent denied by default and nothing here ever grants it, so it sends cookieless pings: the page you asked for, where you came from and roughly where you are, and no identifier that would recognise you on a second visit or follow you to another site. Neither sets a cookie and neither stores anything on your device, which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a banner. Motion: Almost none. Figures do not count up, nothing settles, and no number is ever drawn at a value it does not hold, even for a frame. The only animation that repeats marks a download actually in flight. Everything else is a single short transition, and all of it stops when your system asks for reduced motion.
